I'll see what I can do about a few photos - they're mostly a bit random, you can see my heart wasn't in it. Far more fun to take part in what was going on than to take pictures. But here I am getting up close to the temple elephant (which I just typed as 'elephone').
And, for the time being, here's a picture of the bride and groom and immediate families after the Christian ceremony (on the steps of the church), and one of the wedding cake, which was made at the Madras Club.

Yes, nothing beats an elephone for trunk calls, Rog.
Splendid photos, Z. Don't know why you feel your heart wasn't in them.
what a magnificent creature! The elephant isn't bad either.
Those are the best of them, Chris, and I didn't take two of them.
Oh, Sir B. You are a dear. Whoops. dyslexia strikes again. You are a bear.
They're so up to date now, elephones in temples and everything.
Love the cake.
Thanks for posting the photos. And thanks for taking us along on your trip. I had a great time.
The elephant photo makes me feel sad. The wedding party and cake are lovely.
I know this one! You're on the right. The right in the picture, that is, not on the right of the ... Gosh, is that the time?
The elephant wasn't tethered at all and was quite relaxed and gentle. Those I saw (and rode on one) at a temple in Kerala were very well treated, taken for plenty of exercise, so while it isn't a natural life I don't think it's a cruel one.
Tim, it's lucky I've got a thick skin.
I'm bad at remembering to take pics. I know exactly what you mean... I take enough pics to boost my memory.
Sx
The pics ar both interesting and enjoyable - some excellent.
