It's much easier to get rid of books that I've bought and don't want to keep. Otherwise, I'm glad that I'm not a collector - though, being of a practical bent, I like to have plenty of cooking and dining utensils so that I can cook for as many people as turn up.

Mago, if one wants to have any control over what happens to a collection then it's necessary to keep it in order. The tractor may well be usable, but it's deep in the barn among a lot of other stuff, we can't get at it!Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-52985552634052976842012-08-23T23:32:34.238+01:002012-08-23T23:32:34.238+01:00As Dr.B. We were talking about book collections and private libraries. I helped with the "downsizing" of his own unique collection, brought together in seventy years of active collecting and publishing.
I felt so ashamed that I was in no position to take it over and keep it together. And the politics of the local university library nearly made me loose contenance.
So, yes, things need to be sorted.

BTW, is the tractor usable? Could help with meadows and bushland.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-81348841967488934012012-08-23T20:59:11.628+01:002012-08-23T20:59:11.628+01:00I dread to think how much stuff we will have by th...I dread to think how much stuff we will have by the time we are the Sage's age. There's an old Fergie tractor that I haven't clapped eyes on for 20 years, which he bought because it would be so useful.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-16752608183932759212012-08-23T17:18:08.361+01:002012-08-23T17:18:08.361+01:00Building new outbuildings for the Sage might be a ...Building new outbuildings for the Sage might be a solution!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11346682505354790114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-77624476948881164852012-08-23T12:19:57.159+01:002012-08-23T12:19:57.159+01:00The outbuildings are full, Mike, the Sage still ha...The outbuildings are full, Mike, the Sage still has things in his workshops from his teens.
