It is good exercise and at least it gets you places. And it carries your shopping, which is a benefit.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-68615053182424280952010-03-27T13:38:17.514+00:002010-03-27T13:38:17.514+00:00I have just ordered a new bike as rehabilitation o...I have just ordered a new bike as rehabilitation on the advice of GP and Physioterrorist. But everyone with one has to get it renewed in accordance with that. So, over the next three years, any organisation, such as a school, where everyone employed there has an enhanced CRB check, has to have everyone rechecked and pay for it. Subsequently, only people such as NQTs who have never been checked will have to be done, not teachers moving from a different county. That's the theory.

I do know my bank account number and sort code. And I still remember the credit card that was stolen 10 years ago. I've never learned its replacement though.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-1658120172546946402010-03-26T23:11:53.111+00:002010-03-26T23:11:53.111+00:00I've recently had to do another CRB for local ...I've recently had to do another CRB for local school as the one I had for Scouts doesn't transfer - but as I've had it done so that I can do temporary ad hoc work it would appear that if you don't use it for three months it lapses and then you have to do yet another one - so you might want to watch out for that.

I do, however, have my NI number etched in my brain. I don't know the number, not having been employed since 1973, I rarely need it.

Important people don't need to remember names, as they assume others will remember theirs. Rather like English speakers don't need to learn other languages as English is everyone else's second language.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-79823984515170030452010-03-26T19:47:55.602+00:002010-03-26T19:47:55.602+00:00Of course, i know exactly where to find my NI no -...Of course, i know exactly where to find my NI no - it's written down in my diary, and on the inside cover of my tax file - but as it happens, for some strange reason, it's one thing that I am able to remember, and can recite when needed.

If only I could remember more important things, like people's names.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08403853324345062446noreply@blogger.com
