The blog party is confirmed for Saturday, 16th August. You're welcome to come and to stay over - but if you're staying more than a couple of nights, it would be better to make it the week leading up to the party please, as I'm keeping my options open for the second half of August!

Gus
I did give a clue last night when I updated the sidebar, but even the eagle-eyed Dave didn't spot it.
Born about 10 pm on 20th August, baby unnamed as yet by his parents, but here he will be Augustus Bufo.
Yes, I thought that Squiffany and Pugsley shouldn't be left out!
I haven't told Zerlina yet, she'll want to go straight home and Weeza won't be home until later. It was intended he should be born at home, but he got stuck, having turned sideways, and it was forceps in hospital again in the end. Still, they're both fine.
I did mention the name, yes - he still hasn't got a real-life name.
When he didn't decide to be born by his due date, Weeza started calling him Lazy Toad. So Toad he will remain...I like toads very much, I posted a photo of me holding one, once.
Congrats to all! Bufo is indeed a toad (I like them too), but also, according to Chambers, 'a black tincture in alchemy'. So there's a career path for Gus - we're going to need alchemists in the future...
All posts have been transferred to razorbladeoflife.co.uk and I normally blog there. However, it isn't available at present, so I'm back to blogspot If you want to email me, my address is on my profile. However, I am not interested in sponsored posts, reviews or any commercialising of this blog, which I write entirely for pleasure, so please do not write and ask.
Oh he looks lovely! Now I look at your sidebar all the grandchildren seem to have got two names now. Bet Zerlina's chuffed. Congrats to all.

ReplyDeleteErm.....when I googled bufo it seemed to refer to a genus of toads - is this what Christopher is referring to? I am perplexed.
