My dad used to call me Ro, in my mother's earshot to wind her up (they were divorced, can't you tell?), my ex-husband and niece are the only people allowed to call me Rosie. Though it seems, there are quite a few people trying to get away with it at the moment.

I loved Alan and Sophie's first date story.Roseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07469442580348062913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-25333388831476404462011-08-03T06:19:48.768+01:002011-08-03T06:19:48.768+01:00When our youngest daughter was eight she decided s...When our youngest daughter was eight she decided she was no longer Deborah (her first name) but Elizabeth (her second name). She, being a strong willed young lady (not sure that isn't tautology again) effected the changeover by only ever answering to her chosen name. It worked in less than a month. With one exception - her great gandmother, who was equally strong willed and called her Deborah for the rest of her life (Great Grandmother's that is - Liz is still going strong and very few people now remember her first name).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07558857315748815249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-6752610703571043282011-08-03T03:25:26.781+01:002011-08-03T03:25:26.781+01:00I had different names in my life, and will not lis...I had different names in my life, and will not listen to some called or even shouted at me now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-73019841257742092812011-08-02T23:09:55.553+01:002011-08-02T23:09:55.553+01:00There is still one, John. I called them Boo and Titch when they were small; now I think of them as Lenin and Attila (their blog names) more frequently - they are surprisingly appropriate names!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-22053983525990652392011-08-02T20:32:54.632+01:002011-08-02T20:32:54.632+01:00I have been known to think of you as Snowflake.
