So, people have been sitting down in the corridors and staff have been walking out in frustration. I think it must be a new trend/opt out clause. Given that underwriters are actuaries, not medics, I doubt they'd win a legal challenge.<br /><br />I'm afraid that in that situation I'd pay whatever it cost to get my loved one out of there and worry about fighting the insurance company (via the Insurance Ombudsman if necessary) to pay afterwards (you're a long time dead, after all...).
