And we didn't set off for the hospital (not the same one as where I'd seen the consultant) until I'd reached the stage I definitely needed to get going. Ro was born three hours later. The Sage just didn't want to hang about when he could be doing something else. Last year, I had to make him stay with me when he took me to hospital for my op. It doesn't occur to him that his presence might be a comfort, he's used to my relentless independence.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-82902234324088329342011-01-27T23:43:22.593+00:002011-01-27T23:43:22.593+00:00Well, startled isn't the discription I would h...Well, startled isn't the discription I would have used. Still, always worth an attempt to inject humour into the proceedings. However misplaced.

I haven't exaggerated one bit. It was genuinely astonishing and completely unexpected. More expected was him buggering off when I wanted him.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21602861.post-46917943834403154782011-01-27T20:04:42.307+00:002011-01-27T20:04:42.307+00:00I like The Sage's sense of priorities.
